Fall christening in Serres

Little Thanasis's christening ceremony was held at St. Theodores' church,
located in Serres, on a sunny Sunday morning.

A little boy figure was the main character of the baptism decoration.
The baptism favor consisted of a handmade felt pouch in baby blue color with white details. On the closure ribbon a handmade clay boy was attached bearing the hand written name of the baby.
The traditional white dragèes offered inside the favors, tasted like almond and greek mastic.
Kids enjoyed their special treat favor: an eco-friendly paper bag decorated with the little boy shape in blue carton, full of candies, gummies and jellies (equal to happy faces all around the church yard!).

All the guests had the chance to taste MiSeMeli's delicious homemade cookies in baby blue sugar-paste topping.

Extra large handmade felt boys were attached on the christening candle ornament composition and on the baby's clothes chests, embellished with grosgrain ribbons and huge fluffy pompoms.
The entire decoration featured the baby blue and white colors: table centerpieces in blue/white polka dots, wish book decorated in felt cover and handmade guests' bracelets - martyrika in blue felt ribbon shape.

Apart from the joy and emotion of this special event where a little boy received all these blessings, families and friends left with a special souvenir gift, a hanging mobile ornament, an object to treasure for its memories of the day!

Summer christening in Kea island, June 2012

Little Giannis' christening ceremony was held at Panagia Kastriani church,
located in Kea island (Tzia) on the Cyclades archipelago, on a sunny and breezy noon of June.

The theme of the baptism decoration was nautical, as per the parents' request, in white and light blue colors and a touch of yellow, just like the colors of the Greek islands!
An anchor shaped handmade clay ornament was the favors' decoration, tied with twine on natural driftwoods, collected in various beaches in Greece.
Such nautical style, accompanied the entity of the decoration: clay anchors, little boats and cute fishes, combined with white gauze fabric and silk ribbons were present at the christening candle ornament composition, the table centerpieces and the handmade guests' bracelets - martyrika.
The traditional white dragèes offered along with the favors, tasted like lemon and greek mastic.

The guests will reminisce this very special day, as the newly christened's name is handwritten on this favor gift, making it an everlasting keepsake!

Summer christening in Thessaloniki, June 2012

Little Anna's christening ceremony was held at St. Demetrius church,
located in Sykies-Thessaloniki, on a sunny Sunday morning of June.

Light colors and soft textures were selected for this baptism favor, which features four different kinds of handmade clay ornaments: a heart, a butterfly, a baby's foot and a daisy. The pure white ornaments are tied with silk ribbons over several layers of white tulle and white net. The traditional white dragèes offered along with the favors, taste like toffee and orange.
The guests will reminisce a very special day, as
the newly christened's name is handwritten on this favor gift, making it even more unique and timeless!

Spring christening in Thessaloniki, May 2012

Little Sofia's christening ceremony was held at the Byzantine monastery Moni Vlatadon,
located in Thessaloniki, on a beautiful Sunday morning of May.

The event's decoration is inspired by spring's sweetest fruit; juicy red strawberries all around! These are some of the items that compose the yard's decoration: jars with homemade strawberry desert, colorful paper cones with various candies and lollipops for the kids, homemade cookies, a strawberry guest book,  basil pots and a wooden box with the baptism favors.

The handmade baptism favor features a natural red soap
, wrapped in a red & white polka dots fabric, sealed with silk ribbons and a wooden strawberry ornament. The traditional white dragèes offered along with the favors, taste like strawberry; we strongly claim that it's all in the details after all!
A lovely gift for the guests to remember this very special day!
