This post's alternative title could be "Greek countryside versus British countryside".
You most probably know that Beh1nd's partners are living apart for a couple of years now.
Time difference and distance is distressing but we're somehow getting used to it.
We get synchronized when it comes to (distance) crafting days and brainstorming meetings.
It feels even better when we get to do alternative activities in parallel, such as taking short excursions on the same day but in different places (for old times' sake; we used to jaunt a lot together in the past, especially on our bikes) and then exchange photos and impressions.
Here we'd like to share with you some photos showing how this Sunday has been spent in a beautiful picturesque village of Northern Greece called Skra, on mount Paiko, famous for its several waterfalls and its magical scenery. The weather was cloudy most of the time we stayed in the woods, so it was not possible to capture the celebrated "blue lagoon" (we'll do next time, promise).
On the same day and about 2.700km north, weather treated us better (weird isn't it?), as you can see in below photos taken at Knole Park, a beautiful castle and park located near Sevenoaks town, in Kent. In the pictures you can see the majestic 15th century Knole House, which used to be the Archbishop's palace. Apart from visiting the manor's Orangery and gardens, we suggest you spend some time in the visitor's centre. And last but not least, one shall not leave Knole without wandering around the 100-acres medieval deer park; the beauty and grace of these animals is just awesome and the natural setting will definitely "cleanse" your mind.
How did you spend your weekend?
What are your favorite short getaways?
